Roll Away Tray for premade boxes

Hello,
Does anyone have ideas on how some kind of a roll away egg tray could be made for existing (pre-made) boxes that are exterior and top opening like in the picture?
I thought maybe I could try a paint tray, but they do not fit (tray is too wide).

Cut out plywood inserts sized to fit, and with an elevated front edge, so eggs roll downhill. You would possibly need to make some sponge bumpers at bottom of slope to prevent eggs from cracking on impact.
