Does anybody use this line of incubator?

How are they? I have the option to get one, and I am wondering if I should jump at it, or wait and order a Brinsea?

Please let me know your thoughts/experiences.

thanks!!!

Yes I know they are expensive. But I can get one for about half price that was only used twice. So thats why I'm asking. For a little less I can get the brinsea. But this one I can go pick up tomorrow!

We all know how we hate waiting for the mailman to deliver stuff......

There are so many different incubators on the market and all have success stories. If your happy with the offer I would not hold back if you have done your homework and feel good about the decision.

I have a Roll X that I've had for almost 20 years. I love mine! If you'd rather have the Brinsea, let me know where the other Roll X is, and I'll buy it! They hold temps right on the money, give you great hatches, and hold more eggs than the little Brinseas.

I own 1 RX and 7 of the TX models. My first incubator that my father bought me was a Marsh Farms TX and I was 7 years old. I will be 42 this year and I still have that incubator and it still works.

They are GREAT incubators but I have never owned anything else. The temps are rock solid and I like that I can adjust the humidity since the water is on the outside.

I would read up on it and see if it "fits" into what you want it for. Personally, for me, I like the TX's better since I usually do smaller hatches. I do not have a roo and I do not live on a farm and have limits set.

Also, ask how old it is. It could have only been through 2 hatches but could be very old. The incubators are usually fine but the auto turners will not last forever. Make sure the egg rack is the same type that you will be using otherwise it will set you back around 80 bucks plus shipping.

I had the opportunity to buy another RX and I turned it down because they were only willing to go to a certain amount and it had a pheasant rack that I would never use. So I would have had to buy another rack and It was getting too close in price to a brand new unit.

Good Luck!

Nancy
