Anyone use these? I came across rollaway nesting boxes on YouTube. What a great idea! Last time I had chickens we had lots of poopy eggs. Hopefully this will fix it. The floor In the boxes has a 14 degree slope, covered in turf. All the boxes I saw were designed to retrieve eggs from inside the coop, I wanted to get to the eggs without opening the coop. So, I’m trying it...
Also painted the interior black to make it nice and dark for the girls. Fingers crossed

I built my own as well. There is a great thread (actually many) on the topic which describes a lot of trial and error of getting the slope right, the depth, etc. so that egss roll, do not break, and chickens cannot pull them back out.

My older girls haven't started using them yet and my young chicks won't start for a while still. So the jury is out on my implementation.

This is the best thing i have ever done to my coop. Works great never had any issues other than adjusting slope. At first i was scared the eggs would break. This was also taken when i first built it now i have bandanas and dividers in nest box

Mine looks very similar to yours except I didn't use the outdoor carpet. I found my first egg in it the other day! It's awesome when it works!! :)
Yea it took a ltlle while for mine to get use to it but now they strictly lay in it. At first they laid on the floor and i had to let more light into the coop floor area to persuade them into the dark boxes. I experimented with sizes also because i was told small breeds need 12x12 and large breeds need 14x14. It all a joke i have large breeds and small breeds and they almost all wait on the smallest box.
