What's the difference between the 2? I thought all males were roo's. as you can tell.... I'm fairly new to chickens.. In that case, is there a difference between a hen and a pullet? I'm confused..

A cockerel is a male chicken below the age of 1 year old.
A rooster is a male chicken one year old or older.
A pullet is a female chicken below the age of 1 year old.
A hen is a female chicken one year old or older.
I, like alot of people, started referring to my pullets as hens when they started laying.

Wow! I am new to chickens too and didn’t know what the difference between them was either. Thanks for the info!
