Roo comb turning pale

this is my very first rooster. He is a 12 week old buff orpington. I notice when he lays or roots, his comb, wattles and lobes turn very pale..is this normal?

Sometimes not a good sign, I was told that if they get bluish - can mean heart problems. But yours don't look bluish. Might just be a blood pressure drop. He (?) looks bright eyed, and feathers look good, might be just not quite enough hormones active yet, he is only 12 weeks old.

When I first read this, I made a mistake that he was a year old.

That doesn't look too pale.
When active they can get redder due to increased blood flow,
when resting things can pale out.
Happens with the pullets too, drives ya nuts!
