A few months ago I posted because my Roo was being chased and was scared of the hens. Hens are older, 2 years and Roo was hatched in June. It took a long time to integrate him. He hid in the corner for months.
I think we’ve turned the corner. Tonight the flock was free ranging and my Roo made a funny sound that I never heard before. Immediately all the hens ran under a low pine tree. My husband and I didn’t see any predator but something must have spooked him. We are thrilled he’s maturing and doing what he was made to do. Amazing to me. He roamed around for a bit looking and watching. After a bit the hens came out and continued their grazing!
