I kept one of our roos, cuz he was to be a "she" and ds picked out this particular breed. Well, I live in a suburban/urban area and his crow was really loud. I don't think the neighbors minded too much, but to be quite honest, it was driving me nuts!

Plus, he was such a jerk...he would grab my girls by the head or leg and drag them around. I thought he was getting better but, not so much

So, I posted him on Craigslist for free and someone came that day and picked him up

It seems as though he went to a good home, the woman who came and got him was very excited...as was I

LOL I know the feeling. I was about to do mine in when he caused me to pop a tendon in my right leg's thigh about a month ago. Talk about two weeks of pain. I'm building him a seperate room in the barn now where I won't have to fight with him anymore. No more free ranging for him because I've had it. I'm raising some other roosters now; they're two months old. Maybe there'll be a less aggressive one in the group with which I can replace him for free ranging the hens.
