What about the metal and vitamins/meds???

I had some chickens limping, turned out to be arthritis type infection in joint. I gave them tylan 200 1/2 cc IM and 1 cc of penicillin and eventually several got over it. One I finially had to cull never could get ther over it. But eventually I got rid of infection. Time, treatment and culling. I got this type of infection going from some duck eggs I had bought to hatch. I am very careful now.

Do not put meds in their waterer if it's metal. Some meds react, some don't-better to be safe. Get a plastic one and use that. Also, I usually dose my birds using a syringe from an infants tylenol or something like that. That way I can give it individually and don't have to treat others unnecessarily.

I know meds and metal don't mix. I wanted to know if metal and vitamin packs can work.
I'm guessing yes b/c it's just vitamins, but the yellow/orange powder turned green in the metal bowl.
