I have a cockeral that was supposed to be a pullet. Normally this would be ok as the no crow collar works perfectly fine (lowers it quite a bit), but he has started to act a bit more like a rooster recently. He has clawed my daughter when held wrong (when I watch, he has never clawed her when held right, but has when held to low and he was about to fall, so it was him just trying to hold on), and he has bit both her and me a pair of times each. He only bites very rarely, and only when you are setting him down after holding him, and he has NEVER moved towards us, he runs just like he should. Overall, he is a great bird and will do fine with a lovely flock, but I am heading out of town for a long trip and don't want to require my wife and 4 year old daughter to deal with him now that he is acting this way.

I live in Aberdeen, MD.
