Roo or Hen? About 25 weeks old and no crowing...

Roo or Hen? About 25-30 weeks old (should start laying real soon if it's a hen) and no crowing... It's an ameraucana mutt (EE) from a feed store that got them from Mt Healthy.

The store got them in all sexed as pullets

Any thoughts? We did hear crows the past few days but we are PRETTY sure it was one of our gold laced polish...

Its a boy. If it hasnt started laying by now its a boy, also, have you checked on its legs for spurs yet? i couldnt see any, but it wasnt very clear.

Perhaps HE isn't crowing because there is another rooster there. IDK about that, but it is definitely a boy!

There's no other roos except for maybe the tiny polish where are DWARFED by this one. Plus it isn't quite at laying age anyway if it really is a hen...

If it is indeed a roo, any ideas why it's not crowing?

Laying age aside (I had several birds who waited till about 40 weeks to lay, including one EE hen), there are saddle feathers hanging off the side. Could be that he's just a late bloomer--it happens.

Yup its got three rows of "peas" lol And i also see some sickle feather on the tail
