roo or hen? Delaware breed

Probablemente gallo.

ok thank you so much for helping someone already told me it's a roo but I need to make sure about it😄

I’m no expert, but both of my Delaware ladies never had any barring on their wings or tails. They had speckling on their necks but it didn’t really look like barring. Here are pics of them starting from when we first got them to around 22 weeks

I love these photos. Delawares are my favorite. I have another shipment of chicks coming in January. So excited.

These two are definitely my favorites, the one with darker neck barring is named tinkie and I thought for sure she was going to be a roo. She was so friendly right from the first day, and so adventurous. By the second day we had her she was already looking for me from the brooder and trying to jump up to get to me. Her sister, Willow, actually learned from her and became a lot more affectionate. Willow was very unsure about me for a couple weeks lol. Anyway, tink tink is a big bird now and has big bird things to do and less time for momma, but it still melts my heart when I go in for cuddles at bedtime and I feel her instantly relax and close her eyes. She’ll get so calm that her comb and wattles even turn back to pink (they’re bright red normally, she just started laying). The Delawares by far have the most personality and are the most loving out of all my chickens.

I have the exact same experience with my Delawares. The second I sit down my biggest hen jumps up on my lap and sits down. They are so personable. She lives to be held and rubbed and closes her eyes right away. Comb and wattles turn back to pink. They are such a nice breed. I bred my Delaware roo to my Wyandotte hens. Those chicks kept the same great personality as the Delawares.
