Looks like a cute pullet to me.

To keep them cool in hot weather they will need lots of ventilation in their coop and deep shade in the run.

ETA: And the coop should be placed where no sun can hit it.

Pretty bird!

I'm not in Florida, but along with the shade and ventilation, I add frozen water bottles to my girls' waterers when it's hot. I also put a shallow basin of water in their run, so they can cool their feet. Chilled or frozen produce can be a good, occasional treat to beat the heat.

I’ve been putting ice in their water every day. Gonna put more shade over their run and coop. We are moving in a couple weeks, what they’re in now is temporary.

How old do they need to be to give frozen fruits and veggies?
