Roo or hen?

I don’t know the breed. I got this chicken from TSC labeled blue australorp pullet. Clearly not an australorp because of the barred feathers. 18 weeks old. We named her Gem, should we change it to Jim? No crowing either!

I think it’s a cockerel
I just don’t know at this point 😂 I have another roo that is the same age and he looks more roo-ish. This is Bob. He’s much bigger than Gem, so is his comb. He’s got HUGE feet, saddle and hackle feathers coming in nicely. But Gem has me stumped. Her comb hasn’t gotten any bigger and I don’t *think* I see any saddle feathers. My eyes could be playing tricks.

Different birds develop at different rates so those feathers might not have fully come in yet. But he’s a male for sure
