because of his feathers by his tail.

His sister does not have those, and her tail is shorter. It's okay, a rooster may be fun. This is my first chicken adventure. He will have 10 ladies to occupy is time.

Roo. And, are you sure it's a Wyandotte? It has a single comb.

The other one has a rose comb. From what I read, they can have either rose or single. I got them from Ideal.

It's a cockerel and it's a hatchery quality Gold-Laced Wyandotte.

Rose combs and single-combs are seen in this breed, with more single-combs seen in the hatchery stock than in stock bred towards the standard. Only the rose-comb is recognized for this breed by the APA.
