roofing ideas

what would be the best ways to roof this run. thinking of only roofing half of it, ideas please

That will be quite the task as I'm not sure your current fencing will support a roof of that size. A roof of that size will be very heavy. As it stands now, I think I'd only consider putting some netting over it, or as you say, pick a smaller area to roof. You could just sink some posts and build a bit of a shelter.

If you could build an a frame to be the roof and use some clear corrugated plastic on one side and some darker plastic for shade on the other it'd give rain protection but still allow sun.

i had clear corrugated plastic in mind as it would just be too stop rain. last winter was heavy snow and there is strong winds in winter

the posts are just hammered in to the ground, so would probably need to be cemented or something....would that be difficult?
