What do you mean "heat up the run"?
Please post pics of your run for more viable suggestions.

Plain corrugated steel will greatly increase the temperature
under the covering, if there is not enough ample shade to counteract it.
That's why I purposely had mine painted white. My covered run is a
good 20 degrees cooler than the outside temps.

That could well be what @Gramma chicken meant.

Where in this world are you located @Gramma chicken ?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

I’m looking for roofing ideas for my run. It is only 4 feet tall so I don’t want to heat up the run. Any suggestions
It is believed that a house with a metal roof will be very noisy when it rains. This can only happen if the roof has not been well insulated. If the metal roof is installed by specialists, then the noise of rain will not bother the owners of the house. There is also decking, metal tiles and rolled or sheet iron. There is a marking "MP", which means that the corrugated board is covered with a polymer layer. Metal has the highest thermal conductivity, so roofs covered with profiled sheets are cold. Only correctly carried out insulation can make the under-roof space warm. We did a similar option for ourselves, about which you can click here and find out the features, but on complex roofs there will be a large consumption of material due to waste when trimming.
