roofs on runs

We used the clear corrugated plastic (at an angle) as a roof so that the chickens could get plenty of sunlight. It works well in the winter because it seems to intensify the sunlight. In the summer they are under a big tree. I've heard that corrugated plastic in direct sun can get too hot. But it works well in shade.

Love the corrugated plastic idea. Even at an angle, though, I'm not sure it could handle the weight of the snow in MN. I wonder if you could make a peaked roof with a steep pitch with plastic? Hmmm...
