Roos Feed

Yep. There's some information out there that says the calcium in layer feed is not good for the roos. That it settles in their liver and kidneys, whatever.
I find fault with this information. First off, every creature (including humans) need calcium; the males just don't need as much. Secondly, a rooster would have to live a very long time for the effects of too much calcium to show up and most roos don't live that long.
Again, just MHO.

Thanks! Good to know--- for future reference. I have no roosters now and I live in the busiest part of Atlanta, but---- I can smuggle a little hehe

Roos can eat anything and everything a hen eats. I give all my birds laying feed with corn, shell, grit, birdseed and greens.

GR8!
