Roos from Cyn

Yogi.......The roo's were already a couple of months old when I got them. The chicks I got from her I have 1 pullet in blue, black and splash.

Jeff, that is odd. I had one Orp die the last time I hatched, but I thought it might be starve-out, where they just dont learn to eat and drink like the others. Also, though, I found scorpions in the bathroom where I keep the brooder, so it could have been that, too. I'm sorry you lost them.

REally goodlooking Roos. Your getting a great start.'
Cynthia I have four blue pullets and all have dark eyes. I have a young blue cockeral with the dark eyes too. I am keeping a few blue Roos to see how they turn out.

Congrats on those, Julie! Most of my chicks have darker eyes than their father, thanks to the influence of Skye and Velvet. Suede's daughter, however, came out with her daddy's eyes as you know. I will only use her to fill orders when I need more eggs, but once I have some slightly more proper girls for Suede, she may go into the laying flock.
