Hi everyone! I have 7 week old, three barred rock chicks and one Rhode Island red. The feed store claimed these were sexed pullets… But I’m not so convinced they all are. My kids named them so I will post them with their names and pics, if anybody has any thoughts? I’d greatly appreciate it!

I think they are all females. If the barred birds are definitely barred Plymouth rocks, then they have to be females because all are single barred, not double barred as males would be.

The first one actually is quite pale, but the green wash on the legs is another female trait in barred rocks. I think you are safe.

I think all are pullets as well! I would give it time at about 12 weeks you should know with these breeds! 🤓
