Last weekend I posted pictures of my pullets or hopeful pullets. Due to popular belief these two were possibly roo's . I know it's only 1 week later. The "chickens" are 8 1/2 weeks old. What do you think, Roo, Pullet or too early to tell?

She is a cochin. At first I thought she was a splash but now that her feathers are in better, I think she is going to end up silver laced.

Yay! for the Australorp!!! I was hoping for a pullet.

As far as the White Cochin...If for some reason it is a Roo. Are Cochin Roos quieter than most? I heard that somewhere and wanted to know if it was true. I cannot keep roosters but if it doesn't crow I would consider trying to keep it.

Thanks. She is actually my favorite.

We bonded after she was severly pecked and plucked about 3 weeks ago. She has made a speedy recovery and we have learned that 16 chicks were too many for our brooder. Thank goodness we caught it in time and we were able to rehome 4 of the chicks. Poor baby just got to go outside this week after spending two weeks in a dog crate healing and growing back her feathers.
