I need to know if my two roost boards being the same height will work.I biult a poop board set up for pdz and screened it over with chicken wire that is up enough I can scoop. Then I put two roost bars about eight inches over the poop board that run the 10'. I am going to put a couple of Cross boards as the ladder board is on the east end. Do I need these boards to be different heights? 1'apart

No, not a problem at all. They can be the same height. Just make sure your chickens are able to easily jump up and down from them--8 inches sounds fine.

Ok that's great. A ladder is especially helpful if your coop houses heavy breeds, like barred rocks or buff orpingtons.
ythanks. Yep, RIR, BR, Orps, EE. A mixed bunch. Three of fifteen have started laying and one turned into a useless cockerel. Now I have to choose buff or RIR roo.

I will try it and see. I am putting two cross boards in for them to use to cross, and for me to staple the chicken wire to so I can scoop without touching it
