Hi, everyone! Quick question... So I have a coop for my 5 chickens (one Silkie, 4 EEs). I will leave the link of my coop below. They still don't like to roost yet so I have some time. So the coop came with two roosts. They were low to the ground, so we moved them up a couple inches higher. However, it's not nearly enough space for 5 chickens. Could anyone look at the photos and see if they could find another possible place to put the roosts? Thanks!

Perhaps you can build a roost across the length of the structure inside? I'm not sure, based on the photos, if that would work. Whatever you do, don't allow them to roost in or above their nest box.

Or you could stagger the two roosting poles so all five can fit. You would be surprised how many full grown chickens can squeeze in together for warmth on the roost!

It appears there are 6 nesting boxes, 3 on each side. You will only need a couple for 5 hens. Take out the dividers on one of the sides and mount a roosting bar in there.
That's a great idea! We knew we only needed 1-3 for our hens, so we had just been planning on blocking off one side to make it storage. This is a much better idea. Thanks!

Yep. I want to make sure they have enough space. We thought about building it the length of the structure inside, but the little decorative head part blocks them from getting up. Thanks for the idea though!

This is a good idea and then this way the roost will be higher then the neasting boxes giving a better chance they will roost at night and not sleep in the neasting boxes. When ever possible you want your roost higher then the neasting boxes for this reason

Yes, we tried to make sure they were higher, but not directly above the nesting boxes. Because of the design, it was hard to do, but we managed-ish.
