Rooster’s feet turning pink

Anyone help me confirm why my young roo’s feet are turning pink? I noticed it a few weeks ago, he doesnt seem injured. In certain light it looks darker and other times lighter, seems to go up the back of his legs. I did catch him and snapped a few pics. I’ve read this may just be hormones? He’s around 5 months old. Thank you in advance!

His legs look entirely healthy to me, and I would guess the coloration is a result of increased testosterone levels.

Thank you! I feel silly asking as I suspected hormones vs injury and I do keep an eye on them all and handle them often.
