Hi I have two ameraucanas from TS that were straight run, the one we named Owlbear (grey one) has always been dominant we have suspected he was a roo from when he was little. Being our first time with chickens we didn’t realize this breed doesn’t get very developed crowns or waddles. So we thought the only rooster we got (also in photo, Cluck Norris) was our starlight which funny enough was out of TS’s pullet bin. We also got two jersey giant straight runs and I am beginning to suspect one might be a roo, but with their slower development there isn’t anything screaming a roo like the starlight has been from the beginning, one just has more developed waddle and crown then the other. Would appreciate any opinions. They were born around April 1st or so. Comparing the two Ameraucanas we have, the grey guy is larger by far, he also has pointed saddle feathers and his sisters are more rounded, he has a waterfall like tail that’s very prominent, his crown is larger and he stands upright like my rooster. I also recently caught him crowing, which I know hens can do too. I tried to get a picture of them side by side but they wouldn’t cooperate. I’ll try again and to grab the jersey giants as well. I’d like to know if I’m looking at 1, 2 or 3 roosters, we have 21 hens then.

Update: was able to get better photos of all suspects. Thanks!

OK, the amount of birds per picture makes it difficult to know the ones you're talking about.

First, ik they were labeled as ameraucanas but they are not true ameraucanas. They are in fact easter eggers

Now as far as the birds, Owlbear is absolutely a roo. Yes, females can crow, but at that age any crowing birds are almost certainly going to be males. The red one in picture 2 is a pullet as is the black Jersey giant in the last picture

If you take more pictures later try getting the birds in question by themselves to make it easier for us to know who you're talking about
