hi so I have a bit of a problem. My rooster keeps trying to attack me. Now I’ve raised falcon since he was a day old. He had never done this before. Well I got pregnant and stopped going in the coop and run for maybe a total of 9 months (twins came early) and now he tries to attack me. He’s about a year old now and I don’t know why. Was it because of the months I didnt see them? He doesn’t attack my son, daughter or husband Just me

Hmmm...does he attack you if you go out with hubs and kids?
You'll need to retrain him, and yourself, so that you are not perceived as a threat.
Are the birds free ranged or confined to coop and run?

They are coop and run but have ample room. We had just recently lost almost our entire flock to a stray dog so now he has more room than ever. He still acts very sketchy with me whenever someone else is in there with me and he usually attacks whenever I have my back turned. Like walking out of the run

And how would I retrain him?
Frequent visits...from outside the run, brings treats every few visits.
Talk to him, calmly confidently, soothingly.
Hang out so he can re-acclimate to your presence.
Tho it just crossed my mind, you stopped visiting when he was only 3-4 months old?
You missed the most important part of his development.
You'll have to squelch your fear, they can feel it and it's like waving a red flag in from to of a bull, so to speak.
Does he only attack as you are walking away?

No I guess he would be close to two years now. He was the same size when I got pregnant. I give them treats everyday also go in to look at Matheus, my wounded hen from that dog, but yeah mostly when I have my back turned is when he attacks. Never when I’m facing him but I can try those tricks and hope we get a relationship going again. We raise them to be people friendly. They like to be held, petted and just noticed lol so just weird that it happened

Retrain him with a slow cooker.

Plenty of nice roos in the world to keep a dangerous one around. I had one that nearly took my eye out. Had a black eye for a week. Hopefully he won't see your kids as a threat one day too.
