Rooster attacked hen!!

I don't know if the rooster was trying to mate with the hen or attacked her, but the poor thing is missing A LOT of feathers on her backside...she isn't bleeding, but where the feathers are gone, it looks like, well, bare meat! We brought her inside (I knew the dog crate would come in handy!) washed her as best as I could with warm, slightly soapy water and applied bacitracin ointment. I plan on keeping her inside until she heals and I can get rid of the rooster. Is there anything else I should be doing? Am I going to have a hard time "reintroducing" her to the other three hens I have?? Any advice would be welcome.
 
thats what roosters do. they mate too much and loses too much feathers. Theres an Apron or hawking apron to put on hen will help. If you dont want to breed them seperate them.
