I am big on peace in the flock.
An important thing to remember with male birds is - last weeks behavior has little influence on next weeks behavior. Who they were - wonderful, does not mean they will stay wonderful. And really once they go rotten...well they tend to stay rotten.
If you were staying - I would wait and see a bit. But if you leave on vacation - I would not be comfortable leaving him with the flock, for someone else to care for them.
