Rooster attacking new owner

Hi, I sold an 8mo Cooper Marans rooster to a neighbor who needed protection from hawks. She was impressed that he did actually fight off a hawk to defend her 35 hens. However she says for the last two weeks he started attacking her whenever she goes near the coop. We think he's trying to protect the hens from my neighbor. Is there any way to change his behavior or will she have to part with him?

Oh geez.... unfortunately I don't think there is a way to stop his behavior. Maybe do some research on how to pin him down and show dominance, youtube is a good source for that. Have the neighbor show him who's boss. If this doesn't work, I found success in selling roosters at livestock auctions.

I agree ^^^ If he is attacking her, the best you can do is take him back and make soup. Ot tell her to make soup, they really don't change.

He's a maturing cockerel, and has decided to be a jerk. I agree with the above, this is not a good situation.
