I have two roosters and not enough hens right now. I am planning to get more hens but due to supply it will be another 3 to 4 weeks before I can get some. If I keep one rooster separated from the rest of the flock for a while (5-6 days) Will the two roosters stop fighting or will they just continue to fight? They have gotten along well in the past. I realize it’s spring so could this just be a case of hormones and will it blow over? Your advice is appreciated!

They will continue to fight to see who the top rooster is. How old are they? My roosters grew up together and got along great til they hit that sweet age of hormone surge (forget the exact time) and they never again got along.

Separating them may make it more likely that they will fight! It would go either way, it's unpredictable. Some sparring is fine, but it's also possible that one will kill the other, so if you reintroduce them, be ready to act if that's happening.
