My 4 month old chicken has a pale comb. I want to worm as a precaution. Talked to people at farms tore they said they had never heard of safeguard for goats used on chickens... Frankly they made me feel stupid and careless ... They said not to use anything not meant for chickens on them....
I have 2 month old chickens also in run....how do I worm my older chickens? Is this a good choice? ... Frustrated!

I feel so upset with myself that I allowed her to sway my decision... Anyone have experience with this product?

Needless to say, it goes to show you what the people at the farm store know about worming chickens. The Rooster Booster multi wormer is a good wormer. It is mixed in feed over several days. However, the problem with wormers mixed in feed or water is this; how do you know that your birds will eat it, AND if they do eat it, do they eat enough of it to be effective? Alot of folks prefer to use liquids such as safeguard liquid goat wormer or valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer and give it directly to the chickens. Either liquid wormer is given orally via syringe without a needle to each chicken. That way you KNOW each chicken got properly dosed and there's no guesswork about it.

Thank you dawg I really appreciate your help. Not knowing is the exact reason I told her I needed the safeguard.... I'm glad it's a good wormer... Farm store I bought it from is quite a ways away. Thanks again for your help

This morning I took a little bit of rooster booster and mashed it up in warm water then I mashed watermelon in it and put both older birds in the coop alone to eat the watermelon. The comb on my Sussex is very pale and I'm worried . I hope this is ok
