Rooster breeding Advice plz.

When adding a rooster with a hen who has not been with a rooster how long till she will be fertile? Also how long will she stay fertile after he is taken away? Is it 30 days?

I think maybe 3to5 days would be enough time with a mature rooster, then up to 3 weeks fertile.

chickens are only fertile for about 7 days max after breeding, after that fertility drops dramatically. The hens will be fertile as soon as the next follicle is ovulated but typically 2 days.

I have read others say on BYC that the roo can "have his effect" for up to a month.

Usually, I have read an average on many sources where the next 10-14 eggs are fertile.

you may get a fertile egg every now and then 10+ days but for decent fertility 7 days is max.
