My serama rooster's comb has black tips in the morning but they turn red again after I rub them. Is this an indication of an underlying problem? I've heard that a black comb can indicate heart or liver problems. It looks like of like these pictures before rubbing:

Edit for more info: he is 2-3 months old and a bit more than 1 pound. He has a spot of dry fowl pox on his comb right now, a couple other spots have scabbed off already. It's not exclusively in the morning, I think if enough time goes by the tips get black again but I haven't kept track.
