I was wondering what you use your Rooster Condos for, I’ve heard a lot about them but never really found out what they are for.
 
Are you perhaps referring to the seperate pens some folks keep their roosters in instead of letting them live with the hens?
 
This is what we keep them in...usually just temporarily, until we find a new home or process them. Excuse the cute little boy in the pic

We have a longer one that we raise our little ones in, until they get big enough to free range.
 
Probably so the roosters don't beat the hens up and make them look like they are molting. That's what I would think.
 
I have had to separate my buff Orpington rooster from his three hens as he has way over mated them. One of them he's even gashed her side open from wearing down her feathers and then mating her over and over. In cases like this it would be best to only allow the roosters to be in with the hens for limited periods of time during the day.
