That's usually part of the deal, right? He'll eventually start showing the girls good bugs and bits of grass, etc?? Right now Larry just mounts the girls and there's not much else to it. He'll get the hang of things soon, so the girls can see he's not only about mating them?

Teenage roos do tend to be complete cads! Normally they get better with age.

Even as they mature, there are differences between particular roos. One of mine is much more gentle with his ladies than the other. But yes, both do call them for treats, and they didn't always do that. And generally speaking, even the ladies with the rougher roo seem to like him. There is a big rigamarole every night as the girls try to get a spot next to the rooster on their perch.

Good luck with your hormonal, mating tornado. Here's hoping it's just a phase, and he grows out of it.

Thanks! I was just chatting with the girls about how quiet their lives were before he came of age. It's not been easy for them lately, that's for sure! It's nice to have a big guy in there, he keeps things under control.
