Rooster Crowing

I'm not sure if this goes here or somewhere else, but about a month ago I lost my big boy. Right at the moment I'm waiting for my other groups to here if I got any roosters. My first group is almost 4 months and the others are 3 months old. When should I hear crowing? I figure since the big man was that someone would start crowing. Thanks guys this is my big guy that is no longer with us.

I've had cockerels start crowing as early as 8 weeks and I currently have 1 huge cockerel that is 18 weeks and still hasn't crowed!

However I would think that in general you should have heard something from your 16 week olds
