Rooster Emergency-Not Sure What I am Dealing With-Help!!!

) Today I noticed that one of my silkie roosters had what appeared to be a rather large bump/scab looking spot on the side of his beak. This rooster was in a scrap several weeks ago and lost most of the feathers in his head but did not appear beat up otherwise.. upon examining the scab it does appear that it is a scab but when opening his mouth there is white growth all along that particular side of his beak/mouth area.. it does not extend all the way down the throat.. I tried to smell but I can't seem to smell any odor from it. He has no other nose or eye discharge and at this time appears to be eating ( at least showing interest in food ) and drinking water. I pulled him out of other chickens and placed hin in a cat carrier for now. I have my chicken health handbook and was looking at thrush or canker- although it sounds similar but not 100 % and all my other chickens seem fine and he has been in with them eating and drinking from same containers until today. The growths/area inside his mouth are smooth, not bumpy, not cottage cheese like.. smooth and a creamy white color. and the outside of his beak/mouth area in that spot is a scab with a pelletted looking bump in it. Like I said I will attempt to get a photo on here in a while. Thanks.

Do post pictures as soon as you can. This one is really interesting.
sometimes a nasal discharge can cause this. I once had a few chickies that I had to take crud out from the upper insides of their beaks. It was a leftover from a viral infection.

Chickens fighting or pecking on wire will cause what your roo has. Sometimes just scratching the inside of the beak will cause it.It is canker. Quarantine him and start antibiotics in his water. I have used 3 tlbspns hydrodren pyroxide to 10 tablspns water as a wipe for the inside of the mouth with some success on mouth canker. Use pieces of soft cloth or cotton and don't be bashful about rubbing the white or creamy spot until you wipe it loose, exposing clean meat. Be careful not to get too much peroxide down the chickens throat or it may choke them or cause them to gasp. If they do it will be ok in a few minutes but it will scare you like "Did I KILL her"? Wipe the mouth everyday until it starts to heal, usually 5-7 days. Pennicillin tablets or shots are a good idea too.

this can also be associated with a vit A deficiency. Three drops of Polyvisol Enfamil once a day for a week then taper off the next (no iron > this is a childrens liquid A-B-D vitamin)
Iodine dapped on the lesion is better than the peroxide I think.
