Rooster eye popped..?

Yesterday afternoon my neighbors rooster somehow ended up on our property where my flock was out free ranging and the two got into a fight. I wasnt home for the fight but when i got home and i noticed another rooster out i went over to my flock and i immediately noticed my sweet boys eye was swollen shut. i brought him inside and put my girls away to treat him. the eye was soft and a bit swollen but was leaking a lot of yellow fluid. ive been rinsing it with sterile saline and applying terramycin to prevent infection. He has been doing really good, and his behavior is almost fully normal. I was able to look into his eye today and its (for lack of a better word) empty? theres only an iris. no eyeball. i live in a pretty remote area and no vets close take chickens so im kind of on my own here. any advice, or information would greaty be appreciated. am i treating correctly? is there more i can be doing?

If the eye ruptured, but you've staved off infection, he'll probably be fine.

Can you get some clear well-lit photos of his eye?

Very good that you are rinsing with saline and apply Terramycin in the eye.
