Hello. I am hoping someone can help me. I have a rooster that somehow his spur was ripped off the other day. He was bleeding a lot so we taped the wound to stop the bleeding. The next day we took the tape off and it was still bleeding so we cleaned it, put neosporin on it and bandaged up again. We waited a couple days to take bandage off but noticed that his middle toe was black when removing the bandage. Today his foot and part of his leg is dark and smells. It does not look good! The skin has come off of his foot and leg and is half the size it normally is. He is still alert. Crows and will drink only when I put water container right in front of him. He hops around and has been putting some weight on back foot/leg. Is there anything I can give him to help/stop the infection from spreading? I don’t know what else to do! He is such a sweet boy! Please help.
