Rooster getting down right mean to hens...

I have a question...probably another dumb one but one that I am wondering about so here goes!

I am a newbie to this so...

We thought we had 2 roos...we ended up with 5...we have 24 hens...

In the last few days one of the roos has gotten really aggressive towards the hens...I mean he comes out of it with feathers in his mouth and I can hear the little hens just screaming from him...he is the only one that is being THAT aggressive..ofcourse it happens so fast there isn't anything I can do to stop him ..

Is this "normal"?????

I agree, he's dinner. If you have 5 play "roo survivor" until you get one or two good ones. Out of five you may get no good ones. We had 26 and got 2 worth keeping around

LOL...yes...that is what I was afraid of...we've been told we are fine with this # of roos..but then we've also been told its 3 too many...
