I got a new rooster, Fog, he’s fine with all my ladies accept for one. Her name is Elephant, he attacks her whenever she gets close, she usually gets away thankfully. I plan to rehome her once her crop support is here (she has crop stasis) but I would love it if I could keep her… the rooster isn’t little, he’s an 11 month old 7 lbs light Brahma while she’s just a sapphire gem. How do I get him to stop attacking her if I even can get him to stop? Will it stop once she can stand and walk properly?
He’s a very sweet rooster other than this, he steers the hens away from the kids when they make them uncomfortable or scared, he feeds them and keeps them very safe with his constant warning calls. It’s only with Elephant who has never had issues with roosters before.

The missing feathers are not from him, that’s from cooped up winter over grooming and my old rooster

Maybe get a dog crate and separate her.
I will see if I am able to.

They do free range, so they’re not cooped up together or anything. It’s only during flock feeds that I’ve noticed it.

One thing I have noticed is she ducks when he tries to get on her, so maybe that’s why he dislikes her. That or he looks like he’s trying to attack her because she’s ducking and making him go way over her?

It's kinda hard to say. He could be trying to breed with her, but since she isn't squatting for him maybe he's being more aggressive about it?

I've had my roosters do the same to my hens, also.
It stopped after a while, though.

It could be.. he might take awhile to adjust but I might rehome her anyways with her condition I don’t want her getting hurt and I know someone in need of more hens. He might be adjusting? Too excited maybe, he’s only ever had a coop and run and four hens now he has over three acres and 13 hens and he DEFINITELY has his favorites but he also has his least favorites.
