Rooster hen ratio?

I agree with Mrs. K....
....get rid of all the cockerels, even 1 for 7 may be too many with juveniles, especially if you are not ready to deal with possible aggression.

Of course my opinion may be biased due to having just been nipped on the hand by a cockerel while watering this morning...
......just confirmed my plans to marry him with noodles this weekend.

^^this!
Is 1 cockerel for 10 hens! Some breeds and breed lines requires less or more, but the rule is common to all breeds.
if you want to stay with a Rooster (or cockerel) kill 2 of 3.

[English is not my 1st language. Sorry for any spelling errors!]

I had one rooster to 6 hens. One hen died, and one went broody, leaving him with 4 mateable females. They're not bare-backed or injured, but they are getting some ratty looking feathers on their backs, and my boy is always gentle with them. I have a pullet that should start laying soon, and a couple more to follow her, so this is temporary. But you can see how even an experienced, gentle roo can be hard on only a small number of hens.
I think 1 to 7 could be okay, but watch to see how rough he is; cockerels are sloppy maters. You may have to separate him at times to give your pullets a break.
3 is wayyyy too many for 7 pullets, no contest.
