My silver phoenix roo has taken to sleeping in a tall tree while my ladies sleep in the coop below it. Will he be ok? Nothing I can do about it tonight because he is quite high up, but I'm worried

Oh boy. Not ideal. I have knocked many chickens out of trees at night with a long stick, broom, etc. He is not safe up there. I would definitely try to get to him before a coon or owl does. Just prod him off of there (not ideal). He will fly to the ground where you can grab him. Or grab a ladder. My silver phoenix roo has taken to sleeping in a tall tree while my ladies sleep in the coop below it. Will he be ok? Thanks! I dont have a ladder, so I climbed a chair, jumped off of the chair, grabbed the branch, and pulled it down until I could swing a broomstick at himOh boy. Not ideal. needless to say, he was not pleased!
I did get him! The coop is quite large, but he got spooked when something tried to get him in our yard a few days ago (he disappeared for 24 hours leaving only some of his longest tail feathers behind). Ever since he is more neurotic than ever and sits in our trees like a parrotOh, that would make great video!!
Glad you didn't break an ankle!
Did you catch him?
As to why......how big is your coop, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would help here.
How old are these birds?

Me too! He's getting a new run built now so hopefully some nice high roosts will make him happy. I have decided that I'm too invested in my chickens to let the free range all dayOmg this is my favorite thing everwhat I would have payed...
