Rooster keeps opening mouth and moaning?!?!

Hello everyone, So I'm having trouble with my rooster, his name is Rocky and he's a Plymouth barred rock rooster, I'm not sure about his age but we got him in September/October ish? He's keeping his beak open and making some sound, he won't crow and he stands still with his mouth open and sometimes eyes closed, is he dying? What's wrong with him? Here's a picture of him, not with his mouth open because everytime I get close, he runs away (which is normal behavior with him, he runs from me sometimes) or he closes his mouth again.

Hard to say without hearing the 'moan'. His comb and wattle color are that of a healthy bird. How long has this behavior been going on?

It just started, yesterday he was just fine, he was walking around, pecking the ground, mounting the hens, normal rooster behavior.
