My almost 3yo Buff Brahma roo started kicking his right back leg out behind him with every step today. I don’t think he was doing it when I let them out to free range, but I noticed it about 20 minutes later. We brought him in, gave him a warm salt water foot bath which he enjoyed, and then looked at it. We can’t see anything on there, though it does look slightly redder than the other foot. The bath didn’t seem to help any. He did have a small kerfuffle with the other roo and leapt over some obstacles, so I don’t know if that’s the cause. Attaching some screen grabs from the video I took.

He could have some arthritis or pain that he is demonstrating. I would keep an eye on him. Hopefully others will post as well.
Thank you - I’m going to try to take him to the vet today if they can squeeze us in, but haven’t had much luck with that lately! I’m worried he’s sprained it as the onset was very sudden.

Let us know what the vet thinks. They can try meloxicam or something for pain/inflammation.
So when I took him out this morning he was doing much better - walking normally for a while, with occasional leg kicks, so I’m taking this as a sign he’s on the mend! I do have meloxicam in, but I’m going to hold off for now as I’m thinking he might over-use it if he’s not feeling it, and he’s getting about very well. He was certainly feeling able enough to have a good charge at my pajama pants today (he’s very fussy about what I wear 🤣)! I’ll keep an eye on him today to make sure he’s not getting worse again.
