In the Brooder
So we noticed the other day are big Jersey giant boy, Sheriff Bart, that we adopted from a neighbor so hes about 2 years old we think we think, completely lost almost all of his tail feathers had signs of damage on the left side of his tail so we just assumed something had attacked him and that's why all his feathers had gotten ripped out withere's had gotten ripped out we cleaned up the wound karma and kept an eye on it hes yield great but the's yield great but then I didn't even bother noticing till today when I got home from work That there was just absolutely enormous pile of feathers behind the tractor where they liked to normally hide out at.
I know reading how chickens mold tail feathers are generally the last thing to go, and we checked him for mites and other bugs and couldn't find anything so I'm not really quite sure what would have caused him to snatch out all his tail feathers in exactly one spot like it's a perfect like I grabbed him and just pulled them all out and just dumped them right there and 1 spot just looking to see what everybody thinks on anything I may have missed anything I needed to check just wanna make sure my Big boy stays nice and healthy for the coming years.
Kindest regards,
Mike
