I have a Bantam Cochin Rooster named Scoops who is the cutest thing and he makes these little noises when he gets excited which alerts all the hens that he found something. Is that normal rooster behavior or is he just a weirdo? Lol he has a limp so he's not very fast and I just hate that he lets the hens get all the goodies first. Cuz he always backs off after they come running.

What he's doing is called, "Tidbitting". He is intentionally calling the ladies over to show them that there is food. He's being a good provider for them. (If he wanted to, he could eat before he calls them over.) If you watch him throughout the day, you may even see him bring a treat over to a specific hen. He sounds like a good guy!

Thank you! I've been wondering about that for awhile now and he is a very good guy! :love
