I have 6 buff Orpington hens. I ordered them from a company that guarantees all hens. One of them looks like a rooster. ( I have pictures). The other day this hen was in the nest box making "the noise" after hens lay an egg. I saw her in there earlier and lifted her to see if there was an egg. 25 minutes later I hear all the noise and she jumps off and there is an egg. I was told that roosters will go and sit on the nest after a hen lays the egg. This hen looks more mature red comb and wattle under chin. The others barely are getting their comb

I had the same issue with mine. I'm sure you have all hens. The one I thought was a rooster laid her first egg at 2 months old. We were shocked.
