rooster over using one hen

My rooster is overusing one hen. Her back is featherless and she has received one injury I have read that separating him from the girls for a period of time might help this situation-any thoughts? I am close to giving him to somebodies dinner table but he is a good protector of the girls and would like to give it a shot if there is a possibility that this can work. Thank you for all advice!!!

I suppose separating her will help her heal and might turn his attention to the other ladies. You might also consider a chicken saddle. Good luck to you!

How many other hens do you have? Is there anywhere she can get out of his sight?

I've had a rooster that got psychotic about two specific hens, of a free range flock of almost 20. He literally stalked them, hovered on the porch when they hid under and body slammed them when they ventured out. I tried seperating him for 2 weeks, no change in behavior.
