Hello,
Silly question here, but what do you do with a Rooster housing wise when you are done breeding for the season?
I imagine if you kept him with the hens all year he would continue to do his thing, correct?
Do you have to remove them and have the rooster live alone until it’s breeding season again?

You just let rooster live with hens. So what if he does the boogie, he is also a protector for the flock. Fertile eggs are just as eatable as non fertile ones. :thumbsup
Nothing is a silly question, if you don't know answer. :highfive:
Consider this scenario,,,,,,,, would you get rid of your spouse and have a reunion only if you wanted to have more children:gig:lau:yesss:
Don't send your rooster to jail:hitno need to.
Another thing I would like to ask you,,, and that is about feed. What do you use??? I can give you suggestions once you reply.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome

What is your specific concern? Why do you think you may need to? These questions can be easier to answer if we understand the why behind your question, at least for me. I try not to assume too much.

We are all different, we manage them in different circumstances for different goals. There can be some legitimate reasons to separate a rooster from the hens. I never do, in my case it is not required. But I'll not say it is never required unless I know more about your situation.

I agree, it is not a stupid question since you don't know. It's stupid to not ask those questions because yo might do some harm if you don't know. We all have to start someplace.
